Been a busy week on the racing scene with Declan and Dave riding the Armagh Crit on Wednesday evening. They held off the chasing A2 bunch until 2 laps to go.
On Thursday evening Dara rode round 2 of the Cuchullin League on the Ardee Bypass. This is a league of 6 races on the same flat and fast course. Dara was on marshal duty for round 1. He was in group 2 who held off the chasing scratch group but they still didn’t manage to catch group 1.
Dave then rode the National Criterium Champs in Banbridge on Friday evening and in his own words ‘got kicked around Banbridge for 40 mins’. Very fast racing with all the big guns ramping up the speed lap on lap . Darnell Moore the well deserved winner at the end.
On Saturday Dave and Dara travelled to Skreen Co.Meath for the Sean Lynch Memorial. A fantastic course and for a change, racing in high temperatures. Dave got away in a break on 4th lap and they had 30 secs but were brought back but he still managed to grab 5th place in the sprint at the finish.
